Caution...Long Post Ahead!

This IS a long post, but it is also very scattered. No matter how hard I try to upload the pictures in the order of occurance, I never seem to succeed. Therefore, we will start with last nights FHE. I had been storming around the house for several minutes, and even put myself in a timeout outside because of more 7th grade Science issues, so I decided that we needed to have a little bit of fun for FHE. I told the kids that we needed to laugh and smile more in this house, so we were going to do something VERY IMPORTANT..........................Make Funny Faces!
Kaden's Best Face!

Ali's Best Face!

Paige's Best (falling over)Face!

Tyce's Best Face!

Danica's Best Face!

I will spare you all the picture of my best face, but just know that it was really good. We all had a very good laugh, and went to bed feeling much happier about life!

Next up is Paige and Ali's dress-up days for school parties they had earned last week. We had to do a lot of reading in a hurry to get Paige to this party, so we were VERY excited when she reached her goal.

The theme was RODEO. Isn't she cute!

Ali had pajama day, and was very happy for the comfort!

Now is when the post becomes very mixed up. Paige got a haircut last week, and it should be the next post, but since I don't know how the move pictures, and don't want to delete and start again, you will actually see her cute haircut before we post about it...................SIGH!

Next up was the Mommy Daughter Party for the girls achievement days. We had a western theme, and all got to dress-up in our cowgirl costumes. We looked pretty darn good if I do say so myself.

We had a fun filled evening with a dutch oven dinner, games of dart guns, horseshoe, and wheelbarrow and three-legged race relays. We really enjoyed spending the evening out with each other, and I sure am proud to be the lucky mom of these 2 GORGEOUS girls!

Now for the haircut! Unfortunately, you get to see the before picture AFTER the after picture. Will I EVER get this right?

This is Paige's adorable new haircut. Her hair grows SO FAST, because she had it just a little bit longer than this when school started this year, and this is where it was before she cut it last week

She really does look Great with the new do, and I'm proud of her too, because she raised her own $ to pay for it. Can she get a WA-HOO?

Moving on to swimming lessons. Ali, Paige, and Tyce are all on their 2nd week of lessons. We are doing them after school for the last 2 weeks of school, and then we won't have to worry about it for the rest of the summer. They are all doing great, and learning lots.

This is Tyce's back glide, and he's doing it so well!

This is Paige with the shiny goggles, she's getting instructions from her teacher.

This is one of Ali's back strokes. She is doing an amazing job with all the strokes. She has to swim quite a few laps every day, and hasn't even complained of sore arms!

Last but not least, is Tyce's kindergarten program. They sang songs, and danced. It was SO fun to watch him. I tried 4 times to get a little clip of his dances on here, but none of them would upload, so just believe me when I say.....................He was AWESOME! Tyce has a stiffness to him when he gets in front of people. I'm not sure if it's nerves or concentration. Because of the stiffness though, he did not smile even once during the whole show, but he never messed up even once either! Great job buddy!

Tyce is in the maroon shirt, bowing to their partners!

I guess that finally catches us up for the time being. Our last day of school is Wednesday for Tyce, and Thursday for the others, and we CAN NOT WAIT! Our yard is getting close to being ready for sod, and probably would be if it wasn't for all this rain, but with the yard being done, this summer will be lots of FUN FUN FUN! Ali's ballroom recital is Friday, so we are looking forward to that as well, and that will probably be the next (much shorter) post. See you all then.

Sponsibilities........

I've realized recently that my baby girl is getting way too big. Tyce reminded me yesterday that she will be 3 soon. (Unfortunately that also means I will be 35 soon.) Danica has been speaking full and clear sentences for a long time now, just like all of my children did, and it is so funny to listen to them when they have discovered a NEW word like for instance.......Sponsibilities!

This morning as I was working on the computer, Danica came in and set her milk cup beside me and said, "THIS is your SPONSIBILITY" I said okay, and left it at that. Seconds later, she was back here telling me, "MOM it's your sponsibility" She said it several times, so I asked her what was my responsibility. She thought about it for a second, and then said, "Taking Tyce to the soccer game is your sponsibility" She was right! It is MY sponsibility. What a cutie-P-tootie!

I want to post one more Danica funny so that I can remember it, because I forget so easily. Last week was a very busy week with all the visiting teaching interviews I had to do. Danica went to the church with me most of the time, but one evening she had been home with the kids. When I got home, she ran to me and put her arms around me and said, "Mom, I'm SO PROUD of you for coming home!" I giggled at her as I thought to myself hmmmmmmmmm wonder if she thought I had been too busy that week. So grateful to be able to be a stay at home mom so that I don't have to experience too many of the I'm proud you came home moments. I feel like a very blessed mom!

Hooray for SUN

Last week was WORST week ever! But this week, I am feeling much better about life thanks to some wonderful friends, and family. After teaching in Relief Society on Sunday, I was an emotional mess, and a sweet friend of mine asked me if our family would like to come over for FHE the next night for dinner and pony riding. Janet, you made my day! We had a blast on Monday night. I however forgot the camera. How come I always do that? I have posted a picture of Ali on a pony from last summer, because technically it's the same pony, just a different season. My kids loved riding the pony, but Janet and her husband also ride motorbikes, and have several of all sizes, so what does she do........................ She asks Kaden and our friends boy that was there too, if they wanted to take the little bikes for a ride. Neither of them have been on one before, but she sits them on tells them where the brake is, and sends them down the road. Kaden LOVED it! I mean L-O-V-E-D it. If you look in this picture to the back, you can see that there is a jump made in the field. There are acutally a few of them, around a little track. After the boys thought they had become pros at the bikes, they moved in to the track to try riding over the jumps. Kaden got pretty brave at times, and 2 times he took the corner a little fast and went down. I'm glad I missed seeing him go down, I just watched him get back up. He has a nice raspberry on his elbow, and a scrape/bruise on his leg where the handle bars hit him, and he's never been so proud! I'm just glad they were small bikes.

Tyce watched in envy of this motorbike riding, (wearing a helmet the whole time) wishing that he was big enough to ride one. Brock, my friends husband, races bikes on those jump tracks, and he so kindly asked Tyce if he would like a ride on the big bike. Oh Yeah! After they left down the road, my friend told me Brock would probably take Tyce on some jumps. Oh really! Glad I'm not seeing that! When they came back, they went in the field with the little jumps that the boys were on, and Brock did take Tyce on the jumps, and he, unlike the younger boys, actually went in the air! You go Tyce! He was in heaven, as he is a bit of a daredevil. All in all, this was an amazing night with great food, great fun, and much needed friendship. Thanks to Brock and Janet for hosting such a great time, and making this week start off SO!!! much better than last.
