Hurray for Cement!

Today they took off the forms and we now have a foundation. Can I get a Waat Woo! We are very excited to see the whole thing happening. Yesterday I think we had 5 cement trucks come and I couldn't believe it was for ME! I feel like it is such a blessing that this has all worked out for us. Just hope from here on it is smooth sailing.
The next pictures I will get will be when they pour the floors and back fill all the dirt. Then I guess it's bring on the walls and all the decisions we will have to make. Already I am worried about all the things we have to pick out.
So yesterday I took my adorable 10 month old baby (can we believe it's already been that long?) out to take some pictures to update the newborn ones I have framed. We couldn't get her to smile, but she was more than willing to squinch up her nose for just about every picture. I guess we will try another day for a smile, but in the mean time I think this is pretty cute as well!
Tomorrow my sister is coming with her children to go to the carnival with us. Then on Friday my other sister and my parents will be joining us for the long awaited RODEO where Tyce will be riding his sheep. He is still excited about it, and so are we. Can't wait to see what the out come will be. Well, off for another adventure. I am taking the kids to Downata swimming this evening, I hope Danica will like the warm water there, because she does not like the cold!!!

It has begun

We finally got to start on our new house. They dug the hole Monday, poured footings yesterday, and are putting up the forms for the foundation today. This is my tiny children down in the hole. They have loved playing on all the dirt piles that are all over the yard. It's like an instant playground.

We finished up swimming lessons, and the yard sale, and both turned out great. This week has been busy with the house and the regular running. We are all looking forward to next weekend when all the rodeo fun happens. My mom and dad, Jenny, Nate and 2 children, and Natalie and her kids are all going to come and spend the weekend with us. I am so excited to have them all come to visit and watch Tyce ride the sheep.

Well, I know this is short, but Ali is clogging at the Preston 24th of July Pioneer Day festivities. I guess maybe we should all get cleaned up from our lazy day to go and watch her. Jody has been hauling hay all day. It's days like this that he likes the fact that he works in Utah. Hopefully he'll be able to join us for the fun tonight. Tomorrow we are going to Bear lake with Jody's family. I will take some pictures and post them next time.

I wanted to put one picture on here from our Jacobson reunion a couple of weeks ago, because I loved it, so I will end my post with it. It's Tyce in the blue hat, my dad, and either Jenny or Natalie's boy. I can't tell from the back.

Quick Update

I have been running crazy again, so it's been quite some time since my last blog. We went to the Jacobson family reunion, and it was so much FUN! We enjoyed being able to see everyone and spend time together. I did take pictures, but they are still on the camera for now. Maybe some will make it on here eventually.

Last Tuesday Danica started to crawl. She has become INSTANTLY busy, and we love seeing her explore her now broader environment.

Ali, Paige, and Tyce started swimming lessons today. They all LOVE it, and Tyce even went under water for the first time (on purpose) and liked it! They all are very excited to go back again tomorrow.

Kaden did his swimming for scouts and passed off both his second and first class requirements, and was very excited about it. He will spend the next few weeks working on the swimming merit badge now.

I have been very busy going through the house for Natalie and I's annual yard sale. It is this weekend, and although it is always a lot of work, it is always worth it. I'm trying to clean out a little extra this year knowing that a move is in the near future. Speaking of which, they should (cross your fingers) be able to did the hole Thursday or Friday. If not, the beginning of next week. I am SO excited I can't even tell you. (Especially after we caught and discarded of 2 more mice this last week.)

Last but not least, Preston's big rodeo weekend is coming up the last weekend of this month. Tyce is going to do the muttin bustin on Friday the 31st for whoever wants to come and see him. It may be a good laugh! He's very excited about it, and so are we!

Jody took last Friday, today and tomorrow off work so that he could haul hay that we sold. Kaden has loved it, because he spends the whole day with him in the semi. It worked out for us too because we didn't sign him up for swimming lessons, so it gives him something to do.

Well, I guess that's caught us up for now. More madness later!
