Jody's picture is on here first, so we will start with him. Although he has been finished with his masters degree for awhile, his graduation is in a few weeks, and we are all so excited for him. It was a lot of work for him to go to school on the weekends for 2 years, and he had to sacrifice a lot to do it, but he stuck with it, and in the mean time taught me and my children all about hard work. I love you Jody, and am so proud of you.
Last weekend Jody and I took Kaden's ball team, (minus 2 of them) to Boise for a tournament. We all had a lot of fun, and although we played some VERY big teams, our 6 little guys did great. We won our last game against Twin Falls, and were very happy about it.
Next up is the only picture I got of the crew on Easter morning. I had an early meeting, so I was not home to take a picture of them in their Sunday best, but this will do. It tells a little more of the truth about how holiday mornings are at our house anyway.
I thought since it had been so long since I last posted, I would just get a recent pic of the kids, and say a few words about what they're each up to.
Tyce is Hungry for Spring, but staying focused in school. His AR reading goal this year was 100 points, and he told me yesterday, that he could possibly reach 200 before schools out. So proud of him.
Kaden not only did the bball tourn. in Boise, but he is also doing track this year. He LOVES the high jump, and is also running the 200m. However at his 1st track meet after clearing his highest in the high jump, he hit the bar with his back, and hurt it bad enough to not be able to run his races. Tomorrow is another track meet, so hopefully I will get to see him run!
Paige is focused on the clogging competition coming up in May at Lagoon. We are all excited to go watch the girls perform and have a fun family day on the rides. She also LOVES spending every other Friday at activity days. She sure loves her leaders, and loves the time with friends.
What can I say about what Danica has been up to? She is still my little sidekick, but I think the best words to describe Danica right now came from my mom last time we were visiting. She said, "how does a 15 year old fit in such a little body?" That truly is Danica. She's a tease, bossy, stubborn, giggly, wants it her way, demanding, and precious! Couldn't live without her!
Ali surprised me this last weekend. While Jody, Kaden, and I were in Boise for 2 days, she wanted to take care of the kids. She did ALL the cooking, cleaning, tending, bedtimes, chores, without any help. (except from her sidekick Paige). Grandpa and Grandma were on call, and checked on them frequently, but Ali always had it under control. She took the whole thing very seriously, and has proved to me just how responsible she is. SO PROUD of her!
I have just been doing all the things that mothers do. We are so excited for Linda to be able to come for Jody's graduation in May. She will be here to see the girls dance at Lagoon too, and spend the day with us there. We always look forward to visits with her. I think that brings us back up to speed, thanks to a new camera! WA HOO!
